Privacy policy
Who we are
DataSpire (Pty) Ltd (registration number 2026/658229/07) is the responsible party for personal information collected through dataspire.co.za.
- Information Officer: Arno Janse van Rensburg, info@dataspire.co.za
- Physical address: Gauteng, South Africa. Postal address available on request: info@dataspire.co.za
What we collect
- What you send us. If you email or call us, we receive your name, contact details and whatever you choose to tell us about your project.
- Basic technical data. Our hosting provider records standard request data (such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested) to deliver and protect the site.
This site has no contact form, no user accounts and no advertising.
This website does not use cookies or tracking.
Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and, if we work together, to deliver and support the project.
- To keep the website running and secure.
- To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.
We do not sell personal information or use it for marketing you did not ask for.
Who else sees it
Only the service providers we need to run the business, under their own privacy and security terms: our website host (Cloudflare) and our email provider. Some of these providers may process information outside South Africa; where they do, we rely on providers bound by data protection laws or agreements that offer protection comparable to POPIA.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to work are deleted once they are no longer needed. Client records are kept for as long as the law requires for business and tax purposes, then deleted.
Your rights
You may ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email info@dataspire.co.za and we will respond within a reasonable time. If you are unhappy with our response, you may complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa: inforegulator.org.za.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access, including encrypted connections to this site.
Changes
We will update this page if how we handle personal information changes. The date at the top shows the latest version.
